Botanical gardens normally house an interesting bird or two. I arrived here with binoculars, water bottle and over sized nougat bar. As I entered the gates I noticed this afro-haired Rasta guy with his large earphones dancing on his iPod all over the place. About the event one can only deduct one thing: they wanted to impress! This is one of those places where I picked up a map (or actually opened one on my laptop) and drove to the first nicely sized green area I found on it. The Zwartkops Nature Reserve is on the western side of Centurion, less than 15 minutes’ drive from home.
